Can I let tenants book post-payment?

Yes, you can set up in your account that tenants can make their booking with a post-payment. Read the rest of the article to learn how to set this up and how it works exactly.

Billing

If you want to use a post-payment, it will work differently than how automatic payments are now made through WeMeet. A hirer will be given the option to add additional information for the invoice with the request. After completion of the booking you will receive an invoice from WeMeet for the service fee of the booking, the amount is visible in your account immediately after accepting the booking. In this case you invoice the full amount as visible on WeMeet.nl, including the service fee. WeMeet is further not liable for non-payment when paying with a post-payment, should you as a landlord choose this then the responsibility for the payment lies with you and the tenant.

How does the system work?

As landlord, you can set up your own account to allow tenants to book with a post-payment. You do this by clicking on spaces in your host account, then choose the space you want to set up booking with a post-payment for and go to booking settings as shown in the image below.

Do you choose to offer the tenant the option to book with a post-payment? If so, this means that the tenant can indicate when booking (requesting) that they would like to book it with a post-payment. It is then up to you as the landlord to approve this. In the mail and in your account you will then get the following message:

If you clicked on this notification then you will be taken to the booking screen where you can accept the booking via the following button at the top right of the page:

When you click this button, the booking is accepted and the meeting is in the calendar with you as the venue and with the renter! After accepting the booking with a post-payment, the system indicates the amount of the service fee to be paid in the same place.

The same page also shows the full amount to be billed to the customer:

You will also receive this invoice in the mail with a more detailed summary. This one looks like this:
